and so right here i stay

i had today off and spent too much time online. good news is that i bought almost all of my christmas presents and found some other really cool things.


water for christmas is an organization that i stumbled upon today. they are raising money to drill wells in counties that dont have fresh water. i wish i could copy the picture that made me cry, but i cant take it from the site. it's a picture of the little girl that is on the main kenya page, but not the picture they have. it is of her drinking out of the bottle looking at the camera with bloodshot eyes. it makes me ache. just go the photos and media section, they are all equally moving.

i'm sure i will be buying these in the future for many different occasions.

on the adoption front: week 31

* we are still reading and researching (i just bought more books!)
* we are 99.9% sure we are adopting from Ethiopia. (would be 100 if i wasnt scared to jinx it)
* we are about 95% sure we are going to use CHI as our agency
* our CHI application is almost ready to be sent in
* started writing my autobiography for the home study
* we are open to twins, and are deciding if we are open to a sibling group
